Facebook Event: https://www.facebook.com/events/1558685657687047/

On October 6th, the Drew University Students for Justice in Palestine at Drew University will be hosting a benefit dinner to address and shed light on the events that occurred this past summer in Palestine, particularly the attack on Gaza that killed more than 2,000 Palestinians.

Dr Saad is a pediatric surgeon who has worked very closely with the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF). He has traveled to Palestine on more than 10 occasions with PCRF offering humanitarian and medical service. He will be sharing with us his experience, what he witnessed, and why this work is necessary. Our second speaker, Michael Letwin of Al-Awda NY, is a public defender in Brooklyn, and former President of the Association of Legal Aid Attorney. He is the is co-founder of New York City Labor Against the War, Labor for Palestine, and Jews for Palestinian Right of Return.

Dinner will be served and catered from a local Middle Eastern restaurant. There will be vegetarian options available!

While no one will be turned away at the door, we humbly ask for a $5.00 dollar donation. Proceeds will be going to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund and the National Students for Justice in Palestine 4th Annual Conference.

The Palestine Children’s Relief Fund is a registered non-political, non-profit, 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization that was established in 1991 by concerned people in the U.S. to address the medical and humanitarian crisis facing Palestinian youths in the Middle East. It has since expanded to help suffering children from the region, based only on their medical needs.
