Join us March 10 to tell Friends of the Israel Defense Forces that fundraising for war crimes is not allowed in New York City. No tax write-offs for apartheid!

When: Tuesday, March 10, 5:30 – 7 PM

Where: Waldorf Astoria Hotel, Park Ave. @ 50th St.

What: Picket line with a raising up of the names of those killed in Israel’s 2014 assault on Gaza, followed by chants

Why: Friends of the IDF (FIDF) is a 501c3  with tax-exempt status that supports the Israeli military, which is responsible for upholding the occupation of the West Bank and carrying out violent assaults on the besieged Gaza Strip. Their direct support of the Golani and Givati Brigades, both of which participated in the 2014 attacks on Gaza, killing 2,257 people, is an example of FIDF’s complicity in the ongoing oppression of the Palestinian people.

RSVP and spread the word on Facebook.

Endorsed by Brooklyn For Peace; CODEPINK NYC; Direct Action Front for Palestine; Women in Black – Union Square; Queers against Israeli Apartheid – NYC; Al-Awda NY – The Palestine Right to Return Coalition; Jews for Palestinian Right of Return; Jews Say No!; Jewish Voice for Peace – NYC; Labor for Palestine; Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at the New School, Rutgers Newark, and NYU.

This protest is part of Israeli Apartheid Week (IAW), an annual series of events around the world to raise awareness about Israel’s apartheid policies towards Palestinians and to build support for the growing nonviolent Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) campaign.
