March for Immigrant Rights on May 1

A Call to the Palestinian, Arab and Muslim Communities

MARCH WITH US ON MAY 1 FOR IMMIGRANT

AND WORKER RIGHTS

12 NOON UNION SQ. 14th St. and Broadway, Manhattan

Al-Awda NY: the Palestine Right to Return Coalition and the U.S. Palestine Community Network NY call on the Palestinian, Arab, and Muslim communities of New York to join us on Saturday, May 1, in the annual march called by the May 1 Coalition for Worker and Immigrant Rights at 12 noon in Union Square and marching to Wall Street. We will  march in a contingent on May 1 in solidarity with other immigrant groups and to demand an end to the discriminatory, unjust, and dehumanizing treatment of immigrants because of their religion, race, or nationality.
Join us as we voice our opposition to racist anti-Arab and anti-Muslim domestic national security policies, our support for a just solution for all immigrants seeking justice and legalization, and demand an end to the raids, deportations and other policies and practices that criminalize immigrant communities.
The unconstitutional new law in the state of Arizona that makes racial profiling legal and infringes on the most basic basic human rights of immigrants makes attending this May 1strally more important than ever. Immigrants across the United States and especially in Arizonaare being subject to an apartheid police state not unlike that which Palestinians are suffering under Israeli occupation. The new law in Arizona extends this state terror to all people of color. This must stop!
We demand justice and legalization now, not so-called Comprehensive Immigration Reform  that only leads to increased criminalization and police repression.
We demand a halt to all racist U.S. led and supported wars and occupation in Palestine, Iraq,Afghanistan and globally.
